Interview with Jarmo Korhonen

Q1: Let’s start with the common question, if you can kindly introduce yourself.

Name is Jarmo Korhonen, a Finnish painter. I’m a fine artist.

Q2: How did you get into the field of your work?

I have always been an artist soul, even if I didn’t realize it until my middle age. First I chose old Finnish national romanticism (landscapes), but later I concentrated only to female beauty.

Q3: Do you have any current favourite artists, comic artists, photographers who may have influenced you to become the artist that you are?

My favourite artists are photographers, who can capture the female beauty in the way that inspires me. There are too many to mention.

Q4: What are the main tools of your trade?

My tool list is: oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolors, pastels, gray pastels, charcoal, pencil and ink. I use brushes and palette knife.

Q5: How was it for you to learn the process of that? Did you teach yourself, take classes or learn from other existing artist’s tutorial?

All of what I know comes from personal study and experience.

Q6: Do you think its possible for you to describe the process of your art style, what are the dos and don’ts, the important aspects you set yourself to achieve your style of design?

It starts with the model I use. When I get in spirit that the model arises in my heart, I can go forward. Using intuition I finish the painting as quickly as possible. There are often stages, that i am not conscious what and why I do what i do. I just let my hand do what it does without my mind controlling it. The less there is control and the more there is free flow, the better. Wet to wet is the best way to paint using “alla prima” technique.

Q7: What are the biggest struggles you encounter as an artist?

How to get to the state of inspiration.

How not to be too much in control of my doing.

How to not judge myself too much.

How not to censor myself too much.

Q8: Do you have any other future plans that don’t involve creative art?

Yes I have, but I rather keep them to myself for now.

Q9: Do you have any personal mottos, quotes or existing quotes that motivates you to do what you love doing? Can you share it with us or provide words of wisdom from your experiences for those who look up to you?

Silence is the language of God, all else is poor translation.

There is no prison more secure than the one we do not know we are in.

When we live without a purpose we suffer the most.

What we do to Mother Earth we do to ourselves.

“It is none of your business what other people think of you” ~ my grandfather

Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see. Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. The question is whether or not we are in touch with it. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment.

Dawn of a new Era, New humanity , New Dimension. Ascension. Space and Time as we know it changeth forever.

Never wait for tomorrow since you don’t know if you will really reach there. Never rely on what you did yesterday since this is the past. Your present is the most precious moment of your life since you are living it.

Be empty of worrying. Think of who created thought! Why do you stay in prison when the door is so wide open?

Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it’s troubles…it empties today of it’s strength

Give yourself a permission … to love yourself

In reality, everything has been only dream, which gets a perfect ending.

Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.

Everything changes but the change. Nothing lasts forever but the eternity.

There is no time. The past, the present and the future are now. This moment.

Eventually you will come to understand that love heals everything, and love is all there is

Art is just not paint on canvas or a picture shot with just film. It is the Artist soul you are looking into. There is value in that.

We artists are a rare breed of genius, visionaries and masterminds.

I am a fearless innovator!

Live this moment to the fullest!

Q10: What do you think the future will hold for all artists from all backgrounds from now?

On the “upcoming paradise on earth” in which I believe, everything will be possible!

Q11: To round off the last question, where can your fans and new fans find updated news and progress from you, – Where can we find you? … 86/p/12512 … ;g2_page=1 … ople/jarko

Q12: Ok this question is optional for you, you and I know that art theft is so common now in the internet world, so are there any words you want to share or shout at to those who steal people arts?
